Our Rabbitry

Silent Springs Rabbitry is a small rabbitry located in Southern California with 20 holes currently that has been raising rabbits since 2004, when we begain raising Mini Lops. In 2008 we decided to add Jersey Woolies to our rabbitry since we love wool! We specialize in Shaded and Tan Pattern Woolies while with the Mini Lops we are currently focusing on Steels and Chestnuts.  We handle our rabbits from the day that they are born in order to ensure sweet, loving temperments, perfect if they are destined to become a spoiled pet bunny for their new owners once they are ready to leave our rabbitry. We also handle our adult rabbits frequently to ensure that great personalities are continued. I only work with select lines, after careful scrutinization of pedigrees and soundness of their genepools.  This condensation of my lines gives me what I feel is a more genetically sound breed program and consequently, consistant type in my animals. Since I use such few lines I make sure the lines I choose are the best breeders in the Nation and are compatible with each other.

As of 2008, we have decided to change our prefix from "SSR's" to "Silent Spring's". Any rabbits featured on this site with either of these prefixes have been bred by us. Thanks for understanding!
